What Deposit Back is
A calculator and template tool. It counts days from a move-out date using state statutes we have read, shows what those statutes say, and fills in a letter template and checklists from the information you enter. It is not legal advice, it is not a law firm, and no attorney-client relationship is created. State law varies and laws change. Results depend on your inputs and on the simplifications shown on the page, and may not match your situation. Talk to a local tenant-rights organization or an attorney about your own case.
Purchase and access
The $19 kit is a digital product (a letter template filled in from your entries, a move-out photo-log checklist and a timeline of generic next steps). It unlocks immediately after payment and stays available for at least 12 months from purchase. It is available for the states the site lists as checked. You can re-send your access link from the site at any time.
All sales are final
Because access is instant and the free deadline check lets you try the same engine first, we don't offer refunds for change of mind. We will refund a duplicate charge, or a purchase where the kit won't open after you've used the resend link. Email us within 30 days.
By buying, you ask us to give you access immediately and acknowledge that, once access starts, you lose any legal right to cancel and get a refund for change of mind, including the 14-day withdrawal right that applies to buyers in the EU and UK.
No promised results
We don't promise that your landlord will return any money, that a letter will work, or that a court will rule in your favor. The tool does not calculate penalties or any dollar consequence for a landlord.
